TANJA MANNHEIM

Former intellectual property attorney-turned- entrepreneur, Tanja comes with the set of skills to build companies that last and stand ground through the toughest storms. Working globally as a lawyer and a business developer for European law firms, she knows what it takes to make something out of nothing. She has an analytical eye, is passionate about process and has a keen understanding of how to build solid infrastructure brick by brick.

Tanja consistently drives for innovation, attention-to-detail and an impeccable level of professionalism at Lemons and Olives. As an idea person, she is building Lemons and Olives not only as a food and catering company, but as an innovative brand with a vision for how to care for people and have a positive impact on our community.

Tanja’s love and a natural fit for entrepreneurship comes from her maverick grandfather who at just 18 years old started his own dairy business in the 1930s in old Yugoslavia.  Many of Tanja’s summers were spent learning about her grandfather’s signature products: yogurt, butter and cheese. Watching her grandfather build a successful dairy business (and later a mountain spring wellness place – before wellness was a trend!) inspired Tanja to dream big.

MARKO MANNHEIM

Marko is the heart of the brand.  He is a natural- born host who remembers all your likes and dislikes, and makes sure you are always taken care of.  Marko is the people person.  He knows food and he knows people. His super-power skill to solve problems creatively and at the speed of light does not only make clients feel extremely well taken care of --  it also continues to propel Lemons and Olives forward, to bigger and better.

His food education began at a young age tagging along with his mom to local farmer’s markets and watching her create magic in the kitchen. His deep dive into the world of food continued during his school years in Switzerland and travels throughout Europe. Professionally, he worked alongside some of the industry’s top chefs in D.C and New York. After working in the hospitality industry on the operations side, he left his position as a Food & Beverage Director for the iconic Bowery Hotel to live out his dream and follow his passion for food and bringing people together around it.

As a die-hard Red Star fan, no meetings at Lemons and Olives are to be held on Champions League and Europa League match days.
